No matter how stunning and ground-breaking your conclusions are, you’re not going to convince anyone your hypothesis holds true unless you can communicate and present it in the best way possible. Researchers aren’t trained in graphic design and marketing, yet presenting data effectively requires both. So how does a humble scientist put on these additional hats to convince people their work is valuable and important?

Why are display options important?
Presentation matters. Whether you’re presenting at a conference, publishing your data in a trade journal, or simply sharing data with your lab mates, presentation matters. No one will be convinced of your conclusions if they can’t understand your data, and the first step in comprehension is an effective presentation.
Prometheus users familiar with PR.ThermControl and PR.ChemControl software know how easy it is to see the inflection points and onsets of their melting data. The next step is more advanced data analysis and processing, and PR.Stability Analysis is the software to handle it. The software allows you to efficiently analyze your data from multiple runs at the same time.
What can I do with PR.Stability Analysis software?
- View all your data together: PR.Stablity Analysis allows you to look at multiple data sets at once. You can upload multiple files, or analyze multiple runs from the same file, all in the same window.
- Visualize your inflection points (IPs) and onsets: The ratio view, first derivative, and scattering curves can now all be displayed at the same time. This allows you to quickly scroll through your data sets and see both unfolding and aggregation information at the same time.
- See variation in your replicates: With the auto-merge feature, your annotated replicates will be merged into a single curve, creating a graph that displays the average and the variation of your replicates. We will cover more about data merging in an upcoming tutorial.
- Toggle displays to get the view you want: It is easy to alter the look and feel of your graphical data using the software. Remove gridlines, select whether you want to view markers, and choose whether to view ratio or single wavelength data using a useful sidebar.

- Select either the ratio view or evaluate a single wavelength
- Choose whether you want to display the first derivative or the scattering plot

- For a cleaner presentation, you can remove the gridlines from your graphs
