NanoTemper Technologies unveils Dianthus uHTS — the fastest biophysical method on the market

October 14, 2024 NanoTemper Technologies

Munich, Germany Oct 14, 2024 — Last week, NanoTemper Technologies introduced Dianthus uHTS, greatly increasing the throughput capabilities of their breakthrough Spectral Shift technology. Spectral Shift is valued by scientists for easy setup of immobilization-free binding affinity measurements and minimal sample requirements, and Dianthus uHTS brings this technology into an automated 1536-well plate-based format.

“With Dianthus uHTS we are launching something that our customers have asked for since we founded NanoTemper. We speed up our measurement time by a factor of 1000x — it is biophysics at the speed of light!” says Philipp Baaske, founder and CEO of NanoTemper. “I’m proud to share that our team has developed a system capable of measuring a full 1536-well plate in under 8 minutes.”

NanoTemper set out to bring the advantages of its breakthrough Spectral Shift technology to the ultra-high-throughput screening community. Marco Schade, the lead developer of Dianthus uHTS explains, “Our project team worked closely with beta testers to ensure seamless integration of the system into existing automation workflows. The result is the fastest biophysical screening method available.”

For scientists performing high-throughput screening, the same method can be used for primary screens and lead optimization, dramatically reducing assay development costs. Other advantages, like not needing prior knowledge of a drug target’s binding sites, further increase the ease-of-use and flexibility of the system.

Dianthus uHTS is the solution scientists can count on to screen large compound libraries — regardless of drug target — without the limitations imposed by other methods.

About NanoTemper Technologies

At NanoTemper, our vision is to help create a world where every disease is treatable. For us, that starts by equipping scientists with reliable biophysical tools that bring them the clarity, confidence, and momentum they need to discover and develop future therapies, even difficult ones. Because the path to a disease-free world requires courage, big thinking, and collaboration, we’ll continue to create innovative products that meet the needs of our customers as they face new and difficult challenges.
