21 Create a checklist for equipment and computers Planning what equipment you need ahead of time helps with organization and budgeting. Keep in mind that most lab equipment requires its own computer station. Create a checklist for the lab 'kitchen' Every lab needs a kitchen where solutions are prepared. Make a list of what's required like reagents, pH meter, stir plates, fume hood, etc. Let usage dictate storage Setup a home for specific tools based on their use and label them accordingly, e.g., a "surgical" drawer to store tools like scissors, tweezers, and gauze. Using colored tape to label tools can be handy to identify their use. Ensure comfort Your team will spend many hours in the lab, so it's important to make sure they're comfortable. It can be as simple as having a comfortable chair that can be sat on for many hours.
