nanoDSF as an efficient, high-throughput method for ID testing in biologics manufacturing

nano Differential Scanning Fluorimetry (nanoDSF) is a high-throughput label free technique that assesses protein stability. The intrinsic fluorescence of the protein is recorded as a function of temperature.

The appearance of a resulting thermal unfolding curve depends on the protein structure, its concentration and excipients present in a formulation. This “fingerprint” unfolding curve could then be used in confirming product identity during biomanufacturing quality control and has great potential to replace time- and labor-intensive current gold-standard methods.

Watch this webinar to discover how Dr. Marius Müller from Johnson and Johnson Innovative Medicine, uses nanoDSF and the Prometheus Panta instrument, for drug substance ID testing.

You’ll learn about:

  • Nano differential scanning fluorimetry (nanoDSF), a high throughput label free technique that assesses protein stability
  • How to use nanoDSF to confirm product identity during biomanufacturing QC
  • How this compares to current ID-testing methods
