Stability (and getting more information out
of a DLS experiment)
Changes in protein sequence, storage conditions, buffer
formulations, and additives affect the stability of your biologic.
If your DLS data isn't reproducible across several replicates,
it could be that your sample isn't stable. While DLS data is
typically obtained at an isothermal temperature over a short
period of time, consider doing DLS in parallel with thermal
denaturation to further assess the stability of your sample.
It is possible to perform DLS and thermal denaturation at the
same time. There is no additional sample nor additional time
required, only the right equipment.
