ND are very complex and manifest differently in each patient. They
include Parkinson's disease (PD), Alzheimer's disease (AD), and
amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), among others. Despite the
symptomatic and mechanistic differences between ND, they share
a common feature: misfolding and aggregation of proteins that
cause toxicity and lead to progressive neuronal death.
In order to characterize the molecular mechanisms of protein
misfolding and aggregation, researchers must overcome technical
challenges. This eBook presents five examples of how researchers
overcome the challenges using NanoTemper tools for the
characterization of molecular interactions and thermal stability.
