Collaborations also offer training benefits for
my students and I use them to potentiate my
staff's capacities. I care for them and I want
them to be successful.

Collaborations sometimes can suck you up because
everybody wants you to do things for them that don't
necessarily align with your interests. That can be dangerous
since you can end up working for others instead of focusing
on your own research. You can end up as a middle author in
some papers, but you want to be the last author in papers
that are really valuable for you.
