17 Sharing space Sometimes, you have no choice but to start doing your research in a lab that's not yours or that's shared with another PI. How do you deal with this situation? I think the biggest issue when trying to organize your lab with another PI is their egos. In my case, we are both very pragmatic and direct so it is easier to get along. We understand that we don't have much, and therefore, we talk about the equipment we plan to purchase to try not to be redundant and to share.
