nanoDSF as an efficient, high-throughput method for ID testing in biologics manufacturing

nano Differential Scanning Fluorimetry (nanoDSF) is a high-throughput label free technique that assesses protein stability. The intrinsic fluorescence of the protein is recorded as a function of temperature.

The appearance of a resulting thermal unfolding curve depends on the protein structure, its concentration and excipients present in a formulation. This “fingerprint” unfolding curve could then be used in confirming product identity during biomanufacturing quality control and has great potential to replace time- and labor-intensive current gold-standard methods.
